Paul Weller is Paul Weller's first solo album, released in 1992. After disbanding The Style Council and leaving label Polydor in 1989, Weller formed The Paul Weller Movement in 1990, releasing a single, "Into Tomorrow", on his own Freedom High record label, in October 1991. Heavy Soul (Paul Weller album). Heavy Soul is the fourth album by English singer-songwriter Paul Weller, originally released on 23 June 1997 (5 August in the USA).
The band sounds tight, but Weller has suffered a bit of a songwriting slump, which is evidenced by the handful of keepers that form the core of the album
Modfather, Spokesperson for a generation, fashion icon or one of England’s best ever singer/songwriters, releases new album. His new album True Meanings sees him take a break from the full band normality, this time branching out with a set of acoustic guitar led songs, harking to those all-time classic artists that championed the 6 and 12 string: Nick Drake, Bob Dylan and Neil Young. My first experiences of listening to Paul’s music would’ve been when I was a mere toddler, literally

Paul Weller's 13th solo album, 'A Kind Revolution,' shows that he never stays in one place too long to get bogged down. This is proven in full on his new album, A Kind Revolution. That is not to say that the 59-year-old Weller has stashed away his trademark style or knack for writing a great tune, but he is, as Julian Cope would say, a forward thinking mofo. A Kind Revolution, Weller's 13th solo album, wastes no time in getting into high gear with the rollicking "Woo Se Mama," a soul-charged rocker with swagger to spare, and a perfect example of his drawing on the past without submerging in it. With backing vocals supplied here by two .
Now it’s Paul Weller ’s turn with True Meanings, a surprisingly tender collection of songs from a guy who is sometimes thought of as brusque. He’s certainly restless: Weller has demonstrated wide-ranging musical taste on 13 previous solo albums, plus six with mod-revivalists the Jam in the ’70s and ’80s, and another five (and a mini-LP) with his sophistipop outfit the Style Council in the ’80s. Though this is probably Weller’s most distinctive album-he’s never made one like it- True Meanings is not necessarily his most memorable.
