The Holy Bible is the third studio album by Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers. It was released on 30 August 1994 by record label Epic. At the time the album was written and recorded, lyricist and rhythm guitarist Richey Edwards was struggling with severe depression, alcohol abuse, self-harm and anorexia nervosa, and its contents are considered by many sources to reflect his mental state. The songs focus on themes relating to politics and human suffering.

The Bible 2 is the sixth studio album by folk-punk/indie rock band AJJ (formerly known as Andrew Jackson Jihad). The Bible 2 was released on August 19, 2016, and was produced by John Congleton with assistance from Alex Bhore. AJJ’s lead, Sean Bonnette, aspired for this album to defy genre conventions. So, this album marks another turning point for AJJ, as they move away from their former name and folk-punk roots. The Bible 2 retains several anti-folk staples, particularly Sean Bonnette’s acoustic/vocal performance and long-time bandmate Ben Gallaty’s upright bass performance.
