Anne specialised in simple but moving pop and country songs that made her popular in The USA and worldwide. The lovely Snowbird first brought her international fame but all the tracks are tuneful and memorable, like the Kenny Loggins composition Danny's Song and Love Song. Known as a country star, her repertoire included both that style and middle of the road pop. My favourites here are Snowbird, Danny's Song, Shadows In The Moonlight, You Needed Me (which won her a Grammy Award) and her interpretation of The Monkees' Daydream Believer. This Greatest Hits CD is perfect for the newcomer to Anne Murray but not comprehensive enough for her devoted fans. P. J. Nagaro (Chicago IL) - January 30, 2010.
