Six Scores - the latest collaboration from two of the UK’s most brain-mangling underground artists is gloriously off-the-wall. The pair also wrote their own lyrics and added vocals to their performances. Finally, they mixed their contributions together, resulting in six atonal mashups, in which the conventional musical notions of harmony, melody and structure are replaced by a giddy, propulsive maximalism, the sonic equivalent of a turbocharged fairground ride after a three-course meal. Neil Campbell and Richard Youngs were offered a duo gig in Leeds, and realized they had not done anything as a duo since the "How the Garden Is" LP over fifteen years ago. Opting for an entirely different approach, this time they decided to do "songs". There were some rules involved. Both agreed to pick one instrument each, plus vocals. Richard chose violin, and Neil chose Casio. After coming up with six song titles, lyrics were written independent of one another

Neil Campbell (born 19 May 1966) is a British musician, notable for his vast catalogue and his many collaborations. In 2005, The Wire declared that he, Richard Youngs and Matthew Bower had "provided the map co-ordinates for much of what passed for a post-punk UK underground during most of the 80s and 90s". Campbell was born in Scotland.
