This gentle portrait of Irmgard hokahaopuamana Farden Aluli (1911 - October 4, 2001), one of Hawai'i's best loved composers, focuses on Hawaiian women's contributions to family structure, art, music and dance. Auntie Irmgard, as she is affectionately known, is one of 13 children in the musical Farden family. Now in her 80s, she continues to be an inspiration to her own children, to their children and to all Hawaiians.
