Housemusic for Today Ian Pooley is a master of deceleration. Once asked in an interview about his plans for the future he opted for being a fisherman on a Croatian island. What shines through is his ability to keep his cool. I& not interested in braggin& about producing four tracks in two days he explains. And four years are an eternity within our fast living time. German techno/house musician Ian Pooley (real name Ian Pinnekamp) debuted as half of T'N'I, a duo with dj Thomas "Tonka" Gerlach that released the EP Low Mass (Force Inc, 1991). The two morphed into Space Cube and eventually parted ways. His early singles were collected on the first full-length under his own name, The Times (Force Inc, 1996).
Down Here (Ian Pooley remix) by Here Today on Claqueur Records. Electro Kraut (Ian Pooley remix) by Beanfield on Ministry Of Sound. Everithing Is Quite (Ian Pooley remix) by Luc Miles. The upcoming reissue of Sakamoto's 1998 album BTTB, delayed till March, now comes with this gorgeous rework of "Energy Flow" by Japanese tabla artist U-Zhaan.
