I Love Rock 'n Roll is the second studio album by Joan Jett and the first with her backing band The Blackhearts. Soon after the first recording sessions at Soundworks Studios, original Blackheart guitarist Eric Ambel was replaced by Ricky Byrd. It is Jett's most commercially successful album to date with over 10 million copies sold, largely due to the success of the title track, which was released as a single soon after the album was released.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers also rank high among rock’s most electrifying live acts, described by Flea as a whirlwind of spontaneous anarchy, locked in with a cosmic hardcore soul groove. Blood Sugar Sex Magik was Red Hot Chili Peppers’ fifth album and first for Warner Bros. to which the group signed after its contract with EMI expired. Stadium Arcadium became the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ magnum opus and first Number One album, entering the Billboard chart in the top position on its release in May 2006. Once again there was a wealth of material-enough for what they initially conceived would be three albums released at half-year intervals.

Long Live Rock 'n' Roll may be singer Ronnie James Dio's last album with Rainbow, but at least he went out on a high note. While the material is not quite as strong as on the previous studio effort, Rising, Long Live Rock 'n' Roll maintains the momentum the band had built up. "Kill the King" had been previously heard on the live On Stage record, but here it sounds more fully realized. Also, the title track from the album stands as one of the best songs the band did, not to mention a noble sentiment.
