Her practice began as a visual artist at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she transitioned to sound and time-based art. Two albums of her experiments with voice, Scent (2012) and Valley Girl (2014), have been released on Matt Mondanile’s New Images imprint. Valley Girl by Madalyn Merkey, released 02 April 2014 1. Archipelago 2. Meridian 3. Aggregate 4. Arpent 5. Pluto My 2014 record, Valley Girl, was inspired by the agriculture and landscapes of Oakland, California and its horizon of rolling hills. The peaks and valleys of the album's landscape are made of fifteen computer generated tones that cycle through melodies driven by ambisonic surround-sound locations to define space. Computer tones were treated with phase-modulation of triangle waveforms to control the duty cycle of the sine tone.
Continued from Page 1. "I found more animosity among the atheist community toward her. They felt like she had a golden opportunity and had blown it," Seaman said. She couldn't delegate authority, she was mean to her followers, she was unappreciative of their sacrifices. They worked for a pittance because they believed in her cause, and she would curse them and write terrible things about them and fire them. As time went on, Madalyn got more and more dictatorial, so she made a huge number of enemies in her own camp.
