It’s an album that, rather than say goodbye, sees the band say hello to their original guitarist Mark Birch, brother of singer Andrew. The 10 track album was put together over the last year. With only a few live performances in that time to distract from the flow of recording, it made the process of recording a much more focused and pleasurable experience for the band. As before The Last Cry have written and produced all their work, but the key to this album was the input from all quarters in the band, it really helped the flow and feel of the album come together.
The album included the following session artists: Executive-Producer. All materials are provided for educational purposes

Silent Cry. Album Dark Life. She lies so cold, as cold as the night Her hair so soft, as soft is the cold breeze In her sleep, I know not where she flies In her sleep, she drifts like the clouds, serenade and cry. The serenity in the last words The uncertainty in the last kiss The pain inside, that makes me burn The grieving thoughts of an endless night The promises of undying love The silent screams in our last goodbye Rest now my angel For the night is falling Together we cried And that when the music silences The sweet sound of your voice Bringing.
The Last Cry are one of many bands we first witnessed at Whitby Goth Weekend – and we’ve always lauded them for the sheer emotion, and for that immersive, heart rending capability of their output on stage. To see frontman Andrew Birch opening himself up on stage – nearly tearing himself apart with his own utter involvement in his art, backed so deftly by Chris, (bass & keys) Tim (guitar & keys) and Mark (guitar), Is always going to be an immensely personal experience. Goodbye is very clearly an album built upon the concept of leaving the darker side of ourselves behind; it’s very much Mr. Birch cutting the bonds of the past – cutting ropes that have hung around the neck. However, rather than violently kicking it to the ground, it feels slow, remorseful, regretful. Who truly comes out of a lost relationship, lost emotion, or lost feeling without a certain amount of sadness?
Emerging from the South Coast of England, The Last Cry are a band of two eras.
