Live At The Boarding Hous. has been added to your Cart. Next up is the one constant member of the ever-changing Byrds line-ups, Roger McGuinn, who plays two songs most closely associated with him personally, Jolly Roger from his 1976 solo album, 'Cardiff Rose' and Ballad Of Easy Rider which was co-written with Bob Dylan. Next, the three principals combine for spell-binding reworkings of the highly evocative Chestnut Mare - originally from The Byrds' 1970 album, 'Untitled' - Thomas Jefferson Kaye's Crazy Ladies, and Gene Clark and Bernie Leadon's Train Leaves Here This Morning
The Byrds (Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, Chris Hillman with special guest David Crosby) - Best of Live At The Boarding House 1978 LP.
In early 1978, three of the founding members of the Byrds - Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, and Chris Hillman - were touring the West Coast with a show in which they each played short solo sets before concluding the show as a trio, performing a handful of Byrds classics. David Crosby joined his former Byrds bandmates on-stage for eight numbers, delivering a memorable performance that was the closest thing to a reunion of the original Byrds most of the audience would ever see, with only drummer Michael Clarke missing on-stage.
