A highly unconventional live album, IN TUNE AND ON TIME presents DJ Shadow (AKA Josh Davis) remixing-and sometimes completely restructuring-his own songs in a 2002 concert performance. Drawing from all of his records, including ENDTRODUCING, THE PRIVATE PRESS, and PSYENCE FICTION (the latter issued under the UNKLE banner), Shadow adds and subtracts from his cut-and-paste sound collages, often inserting elements from one song into another, as on the heavily percussive "Drums of Death" and the melancholy "Lonely Soul. These reconfigured and overlapping compositions reveal.
