The Wellington Brass Band (Wellington Brass, WBB) is a British-style brass band based in Wellington, New Zealand. The Evening Post (New Zealand). The Evening Post was an afternoon metropolitan daily newspaper based in Wellington, New Zealand. It was founded in 1865 by Dublin-born printer, newspaper manager and leader-writer Henry Blundell, who brought his large family to New Zealand in 1863.

Henry Villard, owner of the New York Evening Post. moved his cartoon to the New York Evening Post in 1923 and reached national prominence in 1929, when William Randolph Hearst’s King Features Syndicate picked up his cartoon for syndication in almost 300 American newspapers. Ripley’s first book-length collection of his sketches, Believe It or Not! (1929), was followed in.

With his partner from what proved to be a false-start at Havelock, David Curle, who left the partnership that July, Henry and his three sons printed with a hand-operated press and distributed Wellington's first daily newspaper, The Evening Post, on 8 February 1865. At the end of June 2003 all the publishing business was sold to the Australia-based Fairfax and the proceeds invested in New Zealand's Sky Network Television Limited. The Fairfax group continues to publish The Dominion Post.
