Largest of 8 mechanical organs supplied by Paris company Gavioli to Britain in 1908-1909. All eight were specified as 112-Key instruments, this one supplied in 1909 to front Sidney White's Electric Coliseum Bioscope And Variety Show, South Wales. Reduced to a 98-Key in the Welsh Dragon Scenic Railway. The organ travelled in fairs until 1930, when it found a permanent home in the Cosy Corner Amusement Park, Barry Island. The ride was closed in 1939 due to war and never re-opened and was dismantled in 1954

Gavioli & Cie were a Franco–Italian organ builder company that manufactured fairground organs in both Italy and later France. Gavioli was founded in 1806 in Cavezzo, Italy, by Giacomo Gavioli (1786–1875). Giacamo's hobby was the development of automatic playing musical instruments like bird organs and flute clocks. In 1818, he moved to Modena, where he repaired Carillons and Tower Clocks

Built for Sydney White's Electric Coliseum Bioscope & Variety Show and delivered in 1909, the Mammoth Gavioli was the last 112 Keyless Organ to be completed by Gavioli et Cie, Paris. This particular instrument was the biggest ever to be manufactured by the firm. It spent many years in South Wales, and is now restored and travels the country visiting steam engine rallies.
