Tunes of War is the seventh studio album by German metal band Grave Digger about the Scottish struggles for independence from England, from the medieval conflicts between its clans in the 11th century through to the Jacobite rebellion of the 18th. It is the first album in Grave Digger's trilogy of medievally inspired concept albums which was continued by Knights of the Cross (1998) and concluding with Excalibur (1999). This album is a must have for any metal fan. And remember, is not only a music cd, it's also a lesson of history! . This is the third (their seventh) album I have heard from Grave Digger. The other two were their first "Heavy Metal Breakdown" and third "War Games". To me, Grave Digger concentrate on getting great riffs similar in vein to Accept (Restless and Wild era) and combining them with big choruses and will crafted solos.
